if i really wanted to be happy i would...
yesterday, i arrived early at our apartment (from pampanga).. no one was there but glenda, who was asleep at the other room.. i had nothing to do but watch TV. i watched Lovespell starring kim and gerald, then The Buzz (Kris aquino's green dress was fab!), then goin bulilit... after that i was so tired of almost 5 hours of tv that i decided to go out and do some grocery shopping. i went to the supermarket to buy some toiletries and i had to occassionally stop myself from buying chocolates, chips, cheese and other fattening foods.. after i paid my purchases, i checked my phone and saw that i only spent 15 minutes shopping... i wanted to kill some more time so i went inside national bookstore to look for things to buy, (no im not made of money, i was just so bored)
national was filled with lots of kids and parents arguing over school supplies, adolescents giggling about and debating wheter to buy the latest totalgirl mag or the local gossip rag with iwa moto on the cover, or just plain solo shoppers like me who are in search of a good read.
i went up to the second floor and started my hunt, and then spent the next 45 minutes browsing through the book racks.. and here's what ive discovered:
1. im so outdated! i dont recognize half the titles in the bestseller's list!
2.there are really great books at very cheap prizes! 150-300php.
3. national bookstore has a Previously Owned Book section P.O.B. (yup i just found out)
4. only a small small section is devoted to filipino authors (minus the precious hearts romances type-the space will amount to molecular!)
5. packaging is everything! books with the most atttention grabbing covers and titles are those often scanned by customers.
6. i want to own my own National Bookstore! hehe!'
and after the grocery shopping and familiarizing myself with every nook and corner of NBstore, i came home with these purchases!
1. Tw7sted by jessica Zafra- her 7th installment to the twisted series.
2.When Chic Hits The Fan by kitty go - a fictionalized take on manila's "in" society
3. archie gals n pals double digest
4. if i really wanted to be happy i would...- this is a little inspirational book- haha! very unlike me? i just wanted to read more bible verses etcetera,but i wanted something contemporary, it's designed to be read daily- one page a day- (yep ver like OurDaily Bread-only newer)
5. 1 meter of plastic book cover
6. scotch tape
7.cotton pads
8. cotton buds
9.cream silk conditioner
10.j&j baby bath soap
11.ivory shampoo
12.sanitary napkins
13. 1.5 liters of absolute bottled water

whew! and yes, if i really wanted to be happy i would do more shopping :)
