loooong "scary" weekend + ethel booba booboos.....
i was never a fan of horror movies, yes i do enjoy ghosts story telling.. i, myself, do have some stories to tell people who'd care to listen .. but actually watching more than an hour of scary stuff is just not my thing. thats why i was a little freaked out when i was sent to this meeting last friday-saturday, for nginiiig (a horror show for abs) , i'm "very" NOT the right person., but oh well.. surprisingly i enjoyed the experience, and the people were nice.
after the meeting ended saturday -lunch time- i packed my things and went home to pampanga.i was planning on a long long sleep but mama told me that she got complimentary tickets to rico j puno and ethel booba's show that night at Casino Filipino.. i saw rico j before so i wasnt really excited .. but what caught my interest was seeing ethel booba live, well i just wanted to see her in person and also see for myself what is it about her that made extra challenge one major headache for abscbn!
at around 9pm, we ( that's me with mama and papa) arrived at casino filipino.the show area was jampacked. i was a little impressed that people really bought tickets to see the 2 performers ( tickets were priced P1000, and P500) rico j opened the show and it was really enjoyable with his nice voice and super bastos jokes! but after around 1 hour and a half, it was still rico j who was performing.. people were beginning to wonder whatever happened to ethel booba. at 11pm, rico j thanked everyone for coming and left the stage. all of us were still waiting for booba when a voice over announced that "due to unavoidable cicumstances, ethel booba won't be able to come" , some people got angry and shouted "refund".. i can't really complain coz we had compli tickets so we weren't really "na-luge" or anythin like that, but still we were inis because we expected to see her and she wasnt there. i guess whatever she has that makes extra challenge rate--- it's certainly not her unprofessionalism (do i sound bitter enough?? hehe! ;P
